Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is not lacking confidence despite still trailing the 2020 NBA Finals on a 3-2 series disadvantage. He had another huge performance with tallies of 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists as he carries his team to a much-needed 111-108 win in Game 5 of the series.

The Los Angeles Lakers' defensive schemes were clearly ineffective as the Heat successfully lived to fight another day. The Marquette product also mentioned that he will be ready for whatever the Lakers defense will throw at him in their remaining games, via Tomer Azarly:

Butler was backstopped by shooting guard Duncan Robinson who finally got out of his slump and recorded 26 points, five rebounds, and two assists. The Michigan product also waxed hot and hit seven three-pointers on 13 attempts from beyond the arc for the Heat.

Rookie Kendrick Nunn joined the scoring party and found ways to contribute with his 14 points while the injured big man in Bam Adebayo added 13 points of his own. Rookie Tyler Herro also chalked up 12 points followed by veteran Jae Crowder who generated 11 points in the win.

The Heat players will have to continue finding ways to score as a unit as they aim to outmatch the Lakers' high-scoring tandem of Lebron James and Anthony Davis. The former led the game in scoring with 40 points and 12 rebounds on an efficient 15/21 shooting while the latter had another double-double performance with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

The Miami-based squad will hope to avoid elimination once again and finally tie the series come Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals slated on October 11.
