Two more Dallas Mavericks players go down with injuries.

During the team's match against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, starting point guard Deron Williams and his backup, J.J. Barea, were both forced to leave the game early. Williams appeared to have aggravated the left calf strain he suffered earlier this month, while the 32-year-old Puerto Rican international went down with a non-contact injury and had to be helped out of the court, heading straight to the locker room.

These huge blows for the Mavs who are already missing the services of another point guard, Devin Harris, and their franchise player, Dirk Nowitzki.

With the lack of options at the point guard spot, it is expected that Seth Curry will play a huge amount of minutes at the position. Wesley Matthews could also see some time bringing down the ball and setting the plays for Rick Carlisle‘s squad, unless the team opts to sign a free agent or make a call up from the D-League.

Williams has been averaging 15.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 5.8 assists over five games this season, while Barea has been very solid with 17.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.4 assists of his own over eight games.

The Mavericks lost the game on Wednesday night, 90-83, and saw their record fall to 2-8 for the year.
