Restricted free agent forward Joe Ingles is finalizing the terms of a 4-year, $52 million deal to return to the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Ingles had been one of the three-and-D archetype commodities in the free agent pool, one that proved to be the fourth-sharpest three-point threat in the league — making 134 trifectas in 44.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

His signing could prove a major key for retaining prized free agent forward Gordon Hayward, as Ingles is one of his closest friends on the team — giving him yet another reason to return to Salt Lake City. The two players also share the same agent — Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, per Wojnarowski.

While his production off the bench wasn't massive, the Australian international grew into a bigger role within the team as the season went on, ultimately becoming a staple within Quin Snyder's lineup as a defensive stopper and a sure-shot three-point sniper.

Ingles had modest averages of 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals — but the lefty could end up with an even bigger role this upcoming season after a great all-around display in last season's playoffs
