The big trend lately has been UFC fighters wanting to get into boxing and fight against Jake Paul. The YouTuber turned boxer has managed to bring a lot of attention to boxing and has been securing big matches.

Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren have been some of the former UFC fighters to have boxed against Jake Paul. The results were not good for them.

Jake Paul beat Tyron Woodley by decision and Askren was quickly knocked out in the first round. Neither man was proud of their performance against the controversial internet star.

The key with both of the UFC fighters getting the fight was that they were both out of contract. Both men were able to negotiate for fights outside of the promotion.

Joe Rogan recently gave his thoughts on the matter. Rogan spoke about the subject on his podcast with guest Snoop Dogg.

“For them [UFC fighters] to get free from a UFC contract they currently have, I don’t think Dana White is going to do that. Maybe if they thought they could make a lot of money and there was someone like a current UFC fighter and they could arrange it.”

UFC president Dana White has made it very clear that he has no interest in working with Jake Paul and will not make any exceptions for his athletes to compete against him. It may sound harsh but the two have a long-standing beef.

Joe Rogan made a great point and it is obvious that UFC fighters will need to wait until their contracts expire before fighting Jake Paul or anyone in the boxing ring. It may be frustrating but that is the complicated world of combat sports.
