While Joe Rogan is more commonly known for his work as a color commentator for UFC, his podcast has grown to be one of the most popular in recent history. With millions of views per episode, you can be sure that whatever Rogan says, a lot of people will certainly listen. But in one of his podcasts, things certainly became more interesting for collectors because of an Anthony Fauci rookie card.

In a video shared by Cardporn, an excerpt of the Joe Rogan Experience was shown with Patrick Bet-David as his guest. At the start of the video, the Iranian-American entrepreneur took out a PSA 10 2020 Topps Now Dr. Anthony Fauci rookie card and casually gave it to Rogan as a present.

Heading over to eBay, the said card was last sold at the start of October for $200. A couple of weeks earlier, the PSA 10 value of this Topps Fauci rookie card peaked at $500. This was around the time Bet-David claimed prices for this card will increase after gifting it to Rogan during the podcast itself.

After handing the graded card to Rogan, the pair would go on to talk about making money from collecting and selling sports cards. The UFC commentator, for his part, said that he had no idea who valuable the hobby is right now. Bet-David would go on to explain how profitable these cards have become.

Rogan’s interview with Bet-David has shed light on what most collectors already know, that the hobby is surging to new levels of popularity and value. It remains to be seen whether the popular podcaster will jump on the bandwagon or not. One thing is for sure, though. Collecting cards is indeed on the rise.
