Throughout his brief NBA career, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has shown be quite outspoken about nearly any topic of conversation.

During a recent interview with NBA 2K, Embiid voiced that he strongly believes his rating for the upcoming NBA 2K18 video game should be 95 and not at the current 86 overall rating.

Although Embiid wants a much higher rating that will back his personal belief that he's one of the elite players in the league, the number that was given by NBA 2K is more than respectable. It should him among some of the rated players at his position despite playing less than half a season in the 2016-17 campaign.

When the 23-year-old was on the court, he quickly proved to be a special talent averaging a team-high 20.6 points with 7.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in just 25.4 minutes per game. Embiid was a high-impact player on both ends of the court and showed much reason for promise to develop into an All-Star caliber player.

However, there still remains doubt around him due to the persistent injury bug that saw his season come to a premature end in March as he underwent surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee. If he can build on his performance from last season along with remain relatively healthy, there's no reason to believe he can't inch much closer to that 95 overall rating in NBA 2K18 that he desires.
