Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had another solid performance in his second NBA game.

From an individual standpoint, Embiid is looking better than expected.

Saturday's game at the Wells Fargo Center saw the Sixers get blown out by the Atlanta Hawks, but Embiid's results were encouraging.

He ended the game with 14 points, two rebounds, one assists, two blocks, and three turnovers in 15 minutes of play, before taking a seat due to his minutes restrictions.

When asked by reporters how he felt about his performance against a couple of NBA all-stars, Embiid wasn't happy.

It doesn’t matter if you score 50 points if your team loses.

This was a test for the the big man coming off of foot surgery, and missing the last two seasons.

Playing against two All Star caliber players in Dwight Howard and Paul Millsap didn't exactly slow him down either.

His points came naturally in the flow of the game, and he also held his own defensively.

I think I did pretty all right. I got the shots I wanted, and, obviously, the foul calls kind of messed up my whole rhythm. But I think I did all right.

Howard ended the game with 2 points and 7 rebounds with 3 blocks, but you'd never know it was a rookie he had such a normal performance against.

How did Embiid do it and what was his secret to having such a great game along with not being dominated by the both Howard and Millsap?

“Everybody has flaws. I thought I took advantage of that by attacking them and creating fouls.”
