Washington Wizards point guard John Wall played just one collegiate season at Kentucky prior to making the decision to head to the NBA.

Despite his short stay at the collegiate level, Kentucky has announced that Wall will be inducted into the school's Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the 2017 class.

Wall is the first player that played under head coach John Calipari to earn this prestigious honor. In his lone year, he helped lead the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament averaging 16.6 points, 6.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals. He also earned the SEC Player of the Year as well as being selected to both the All-SEC First Team and SEC All-Freshman Team.

Since being selected with the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, Wall has put together a strong NBA career that has seen him put up career averages of 18.8 points, 9.2 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in his first seven seasons. This includes averaging a double-double of at least 17.5 points and 10 assists in each of the last three years.

The 26-year-old has also earned four consecutive All-Star Game selections, an All-NBA Defensive Second Team nod, and an All-NBA Third Team selection. He is also coming off his best statistical season where he averaged career highs across the board with 23.1 points on 45.1 percent shooting from the field with 10.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
