Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden wants to see his team stay in its current season when it takes the field for the 2019 NFL season.

The Raiders are one of the 32 teams in the league that is included in the federal lawsuit filed by the city of Oakland, which has raised plenty of uncertainty when it comes to where Gruden's team will actually play in the season before their move to Las Vegas in 2020.

And with all the unknowns, it's no surprise that he's being asked about the current situation quite a bit.

From Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

Jon Gruden on where he wants to play in 2019: “It’s always something every day here, isn’t it? I enjoy seeing you, answering all these questions. I want to play in Oakland, and I’m real sensitive like you would expect. It’s where I want to play. So, we’ll see what happens.”

Of course, this latest development only adds to the current issues with the franchise. The Raiders fired former general manager Reggie McKenzie earlier in the week, and there are clearly plenty of things that need to be worked out both in the front office and on the field.

Oakland did manage to earn a surprising win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15, but it marked just the third win for Gruden in his first year on the job.

Perhaps all the off-field drama will get pushed to the side when the Raiders take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
