Jon Jones is in a tricky situation with the UFC as there are talks he's moving to heavyweight but there's also his ongoing legal case. Many were calling for the UFC to cut him not long ago.

The former UFC champion is still training and preparing for a move to heavyweight. He recently revealed when he plans on returning to the cage.

“I’m looking to fight somewhere in April, possibly Madison Square Garden, or a total opposite date, possibly July at International Fight Week,” Jones told Albuquerque, N.M., TV station KRQE. “Those are the two dates that I’m kind of eying. I think it’ll depend on who wins in January between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane, and we’ll just take it from there.”

Jon Jones says he is in fighting shape and he's looking to prove it in the UFC cage. He'll be working with Fight Ready in Arizona instead of JacksonWink in New Mexico.

“As far as fighting, I feel like I’m in tremendous shape,” Jones said. “I’m excited to still be representing Albuquerque, New Mexico. I just recently joined with a team called Fight Ready out of Arizona. So I’ll be representing both teams moving forward.”

Jon Jones has a lot of complicated things he needs to work out before he can return to the UFC cage in his planned April or July. It will be interesting to see if he can return and who the UFC will match him up with, in his new weight class at heavyweight.
