Russell Westbrook, now the sole leader in Oklahoma City, may have just taken a subtle shot at former Thunder co-star Kevin Durant.

In the new advertisement for Jordan Brand for the Jordan XXXI shoe, the tagline sounds like a mention to KD's decision.

“Some run, some make runways,” exclaims the Jordan Brand ad. Is Kevin the “runner” for leaving OKC, and Rusell the “runway creator” after his contract extension? Without creating conspiracy theories, the way this was phrased gives a high probability of this to be true. It's marketing, after all.

Nike might not be happy with this either. Jordan Brand, a subsidiary company of Nike, taking shots at a big signing of their is not good for business. Unless they're just trying to stir controversy to boost sales… then well played, Nike. It creates controversy and product promotion simultaneously by picking at a heated topic.

For Durant, it's just another day at work. He knew what he was signing for the moment he agreed to be a member of the Warriors.
