These are the kind of things you want to hear from a young player like Jordan Clarkson.

Clarkson is entering his third year in the league after two personally successful seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. After his rookie year, he upped his scoring from 11.9 to 15.5 a night and improved his three-point shooting.

He's looking to continually get better, and being a part of the Lakers history a big reason why.

Via Vice Sports:

“You want to bring it back,” he said. “That's the reason why you want to stay, because you're here during the bad times and then you want to be here when it's time to be good. I don't want to be the guy to run away from a challenge. That's why I want to stay here. I don't feel like there's pressure but it's definitely something you want to happen. Who wants to lose? Who wants to be a loser?”

Clarkson has definitely experienced the bad. The Lakers had the worst record in franchise history last season as they issued out the Kobe Bryant era.

Clarkson is now part of an exciting young core that also includes Brandon Ingram, D'Angelo Russell, and Julius Randle. Former Warriors assistant Luke Walton is now taking over as the new head coach as well.

The future can only get brighter in L.A. now, and Clarkson is a big reason why.
