One of the first things the Los Angeles Lakers had on the agenda after legend Kobe Bryant retired, was to keep guard Jordan Clarkson on the team.

Clarkson signed a four-year $50 million contract to remain in Los Angeles, being one of the best players on the team.

Clarkson spoke with Hypebeast, and told them that he has learned a few things from Bryant, and plans on passing what he knows down to his younger teammates.

I'm definitely going to share my advice as much as I can to help these young guys succeed. At the same time try to set an example like Kobe did with his great work ethic

Averaging  15.5 points, four rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 32 minutes per game for the Lakers, Clarkson feels he needs improvement, and is working on his shooting this summer.

He has also been working on finishing at the basket against contact, and creating offense off the dribble, because the Lakers will be playing a new style of attack under coach Luke Walton.

I know we're going to be in a more uptempo and free system. I'm just trying to prepare as much as I can for that. I'm really excited for the season to get going. We have a lot of young talent but also a lot of doubters and critics. I'm just ready to begin the year, so we can start to quiet the storm and improve as a team.

Walton certainly has his hands full, because he will be taking on a talented albeit young roster, and trying to build a new culture within a team that has seen a superstar occupy his own space for 20 years.

The Lakers record last season was 17-65, and they will be looking to improve on that with each passing year.
