If there's one advantage for a team that did not make the playoffs, they can have a longer time to plan their next moves, to try and improve their roster next season. Such is the case for the Philadelphia 76ers, who are already looking for a point guard that can address their need in that position.

One of their former players has been rumored to once again bring his talents to Philly. New Orleans PelicansJrue Holiday has emerged as a possible target for the Sixers, especially after speculations have been reported that he might not return to the Big Easy, according to Jake Madison of the Locked on Pelicans podcast.

Madison also added that the Pelicans may already be aware of Holiday's decision for this summer and are also starting to plan ahead without him.

“Maybe the decision on Holiday is already made. Maybe they know Holiday’s not going to be re-signing with this team.”

The Sixers believe that the 26-year-old UCLA product will be a good fit with their team, that will have a multitude of big men, including Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid, Dario Saric and Ben Simmons, who is expected to make his debut next season.

Holiday had another solid campaign this year with averages of 15.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Should the Sixers be successful in bringing him back, and play close to the level he was at this season, he might just turn out to be what the doctor ordered to help turn the team's fortunes around.
