LeBron James isn't the only player looking to start early offseason workouts with his teammates.

New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday is already on the same train doing voluntary workouts, along with teammates Anthony Davis, and Quincy Pondexter.

According to the Pelicans' website, Holiday is not only healthy, but off of any restrictions that were formerly placed on him as safety precautions.

Holiday also updated local media on his injury condition.

There has been a major difference. I haven’t had to key in on one injury. I haven’t had a major injury, so that I had to take most of my time and worry about that. This summer has been more like the summers before I was injured or had the stress reaction (in his right leg), where I can (now) do a lot of explosive things (athletically).

It’s been great, feeling like I can do things with no restrictions, but at the same time being smart with the stuff I’m doing.

It has been reported that Holiday is looking to wear protective goggles next season because of a broken orbital bone he sustained last year.

Holiday only played 65 games but averaged an efficient 16.8 points and 6.0 assists per game last season when he was healthy.

He should reclaim his starting spot when the season tips off, with backups Norris Cole and Langston Galloway relieving him from the bench with some quality minutes.
