According to Los Angeles Lakers forward Julius Randle, there isn't a guy trotting about the world in the purple and gold with thicker skin than Lonzo Ball.

Relax, friends. It is only a figure of speech. Randle doesn't actually mean Ball has some superhero-like thick skin or is suffering from crazy disease in which he's Bizzaro Reed Richards.

Nope. None of that. Instead, he was talking about the former UCLA standout's ability to be like rubber, as we are like glue, as all the harsh stuff we throw at him, bounces off him and… well, you know how that thing goes. Eh, I digress.

This all happened on Adrian Wojnarowski's podcast:

“[Lonzo Ball] has like the thickest skin. He acted like nothing happened. It was the craziest thing. I don’t think anything really affects him. … That’s his pops so he’s probably just like, ‘Man, that’s Dad. I’m not tripping.’” – Julius Randle

This is probably a good thing, as Lonzo Ball sure has his naysayers. Not to mention, just earlier this week, Los Angeles general manager Rob Pelinka said he wanted the 20-year-old to focus on building more muscle to withstand the physical toll that comes with playing an entire NBA season.

Luckily, according to Kyle Kuzma, this is an area of his body Ball is already working on.

“He has been in there pretty much every day I have been. You can tell he is taking the weight room a lot more serious and that is going to help him recover faster and hopefully be on the court more.”

Since Julius Randle is forever in trade rumors, it is probably a good sign for the Lakers that he would vouch for the youngster since he has no real vested interest in how the nation perceives him.
