Justin Gaethje is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. Since his debut in 2017, Gaethje has lived up to his nickname “The Highlight.”

Having such an exciting style comes at a price though. When you're not afraid to get hit you tend to take a lot of damage.

Gaethje is set to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 268. The fight pits a former WSOF (now PFL) champion against a former Bellator champion, for a chance to fight for the UFC lightweight title in the future.

The fight is an extremely exciting one, to be fair, any fight with Justin Gaethje is an exciting one. This matchup is made even more exciting with Chandler's style to compliment Gaethje's.

Both men are known for exciting fights and aren't afraid to get hit. Chandler has a solid wrestling base but isn't afraid to have a fire-fight on the feet.

The fight left many disappointed when it was announced for only three rounds. Title fights and main events used to be the only contests slated for five rounds.

Now it appears all Diaz fights are now set for five rounds, regardless of where they are on a card. This meant exciting fights could be set for five rounds under the right circumstances.

In this case, the circumstances aren't right according to Gaethje. Money isn't everything but fighting is how he earns a living.

Speaking to ESPN, Justin Gaethje explained why the fight was sonly set for three rounds.

“Fuck that,” Gaethje said. “Why would I sign up for two more rounds? I get paid the same. I get paid the same, at the end of the day. If I’m gonna ever suffer a critical, chronic (injury), or ultimately death in that cage, it will be in round four or five. So I’ll save those for championship fights or main events. I’m cool.”
