As much criticism with the current Juventus squad has centered on its midfield, Bianconeri club officials are now scouring the transfer market for such players to help revamp the position.

For one, Juventus is now showing a grand interest in making a move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco in the upcoming winter transfer window, according to the Italian-based outlet CalcioMercato.

The report adds that for the moment, Isco is “unhappy” with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti's plans for him.

The Spanish midfielder has featured in three matches in all competitions so far this season. However, his playing time minutes with Los Blancos are expected to dwindle, especially as the Toni Kroos is on par to recover from his groin injury and new talent Eduardo Camavinga may soon fully integrate himself into the team's starting lineup.

Thus, Isco is aiming to soon depart from Real Madrid and end his nine-season stint with the La Liga giants.

Juventus did add former Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli over the recent summer transfer window and elected not to send off Luca Pellegrini on what would have been a third consecutive loan stint for him. Still, Juventus club officials are looking to once again bolster their depth at midfield with a veteran talent of Isco's caliber.

It remains to be seen on whether Juventus would be open to waiting until next year's summer transfer window to sign the Spanish midfielder, as he is slated to be out of a contract by then.

For now, Isco will strive to earn any playing time minutes in all competitions over the upcoming months.
