Reigning UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is already on the prowl for his next victim, only three days after delivering one of the most vicious knockouts you'll ever see against Jorge Masvidal on Saturday.

With the fighter attempting to line up two bouts before the end of the year, Usman claims that while he would “murder” McGregor in the octagon (hopefully not literally, imagine the paperwork), former YouTube star and current boxing aficionado Jake Paul is more than welcome to try his luck against him, according to TMZ Sports.

While Usman and McGregor have traded barbs on Twitter in the past, the Welterweight champ made clear McGregor wouldn't stand a chance against him in a real fight:

“He's fought once in the last year and a half and it didn't end well for him” Kamaru Usman said of McGregor, referencing the knockout he suffered against Dustin Poirier in January.

“Imagine what I would do to him. I would take his life in there.”

Hyperbolics aside, Usman does have a point that he is simply operating at a higher level than McGregor appears capable of reaching at this stage of his career. Yet, though the difference in current talent levels would seem to preclude a match with McGregor, the same cannot be said of current boxer Jake Paul.

In fact, Usman might be performing a public service by putting the YouTube star in his place. At least, in his mind anyway.

“If these guys don't show me anything, maybe I'll put out one of these guys who think “I can box” and beat the s*** out of them” Kamaru Usman said of Paul.

Even if such a bout is unlikely, we can still dream.
