Looking to make their third straight Super Bowl appearance and win their second title in three years, the Kansas City Chiefs definitely won't have an easy road ahead of them next season. Especially with a ton of new competition in the AFC and some of their previous playoff competitors having re-tooled and prepared for a potential showdown in next year's playoffs. Nonetheless, in this piece, we'll be making some Chiefs predictions for the 2021 NFL season.

After a horrendous performance in Super Bowl LV, the Chiefs will look to bounce back huge next season with a healthy Patrick Mahomes and a new and improved offensive line that won't crumble on him in the postseason. Hoping to win another division title, AFC Championship, and Super Bowl next season, the Chiefs have a tough road ahead of them.

However, they have proven to be a resilient bunch during their previous playoff runs, and with some new talent coming on board, this should definitely help to keep this trend going for the Chiefs next season. With all that said, let's now take a look at four bold predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2021 NFL season.

Kansas City Chiefs Predictions

The Kansas City Chiefs will be the highest scoring team in the AFC

With Patrick Mahomes set to be back at full strength, it can be expected that he will back to his old ways with his partners-in-crime in Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill blowing by defenders and lighting up the scoreboard all year long. They may not be the highest scoring team in the league considering some of the explosive offensive units in the NFC, but they definitely will be that in the AFC even with the competition that lies ahead of them.

Already considered one of the greatest pressure players in NFL history, Mahomes will be a man a mission and playing out of his mind during the 2021 NFL season. Coming through for them in the clutch and ready to make another Super Bowl run, this re-tooled and motivated Chiefs team will be putting up huge offensive numbers and tearing it up in the AFC all year long.

The Chiefs will have the best offensive line in the NFL

The biggest takeaway from Super Bowl LV was the Chiefs' inability to protect Patrick Mahomes all game long. Mahomes is the best dual threat quarterback in the league, however he must be given time in the pocket to read the field for playmaking decisions. With their lack of protection on the offensive line, it was open season on Mahomes all night long.

This offseason though, the Chiefs have taken protective measures and are looking to remedy this situation with the signings of Joe Thuney, Kyle Long, and Austin Blythe. They selected Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith in this year's NFL Draft in an effort to rebuild their offensive line and get Mahomes the top-notch protection he'll need for the Chiefs to get back to the Super Bowl next season.

With all these new additions to their O-line, the Chiefs will more than likely boast the best offensive line in the league with a mix of seasoned veterans and rookie talent. If the Chiefs offensive line is able to give Mahomes the time he needs to make plays in the pocket, then the rest of the league is in big trouble.

Kansas City Chiefs will win the AFC West in 2021

Even with the strong possibility of the LA Chargers making a big leap next season, the Kansas City Chiefs will be able to outlast them and come out on top as the kings of the AFC West once again. With their depth, talent, and athleticism on both sides of the ball, they'll be too much for the likes of the Chargers, Raiders, and Broncos to handle.

These teams may be able to get a win against them, but beating them twice will be unlikely and with the Chiefs motivation to get back to the Super Bowl next season, they'll be fighting even harder to win their division once again and claim homefield advantage all throughout next year's playoffs. With their sights set on a Super Bowl title, the Chiefs aren't planning on letting up anytime soon.

The Kansas Chiefs will get revenge against the Bucs and win Super Bowl LVI

Now on a mission to win another title next season, the Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to get a Super Bowl LV rematch with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and looking to dish out some payback in next year's Super Bowl. With a fully rejuvenated Chiefs squad ready for whatever comes their way next season, this will be a highly anticipated rematch to lookout for in 2022.

Only this time the Chiefs will be on their A-game and equipped to overtake this deep and dynamic Bucs team that took the league by surprise when they won it all last season. This time around though, the Chiefs will look to remind them why they're actually the team-to-beat in the NFL.

Looking to be back at full strength with a revised game plan and some quality additions that they've made to their roster, the Kansas Chiefs will definitely come out on top in this historic Super Bowl rematch and bring the Lombardi Trophy back home to Arrowhead Stadium.
