The Kansas City Chiefs head to the northeast to take on the Baltimore Ravens in a primetime matchup on Sunday night. This Chiefs-Ravens game should be one for the ages, as both franchises hope to be competing for a Super Bowl this year. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Chiefs Week 2 prediction.

Kansas City is the team to beat in the AFC, as they've proven to be a powerhouse in the National Football League. Even so, their defense is vulnerable, which allows opponents to be within reach. However, with Baltimore's backfield in a dire state, the Chiefs' defense could be in for a huge game.

Offensively, nearly nobody can keep up with the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes is on an island as the best quarterback in the league. However, this team does need someone else to step up in the passing game, and we could see that come to fruition on Sunday. Additionally, we witnessed Baltimore struggle defending the run in Week 1, meaning Clyde Edwards-Helaire should be featured in Kansas City's offense. Lastly, Travis Kelce is lined up to have a historic day. With that said, here are four bold Chiefs Week 2 predictions against the Ravens.

Chiefs Week 2 Predictions

4. Chiefs defense stifles the Ravens run game

Ty'Son Williams played well in his career debut against the Las Vegas Raiders, but the coaching staff fed Latavius Murray in the second half. Baltimore also signed Devonta Freeman from the practice squad, making the backfield a bit murky. Lamar Jackson is a pure athlete and acts as the best running option for the Ravens. Even so, Baltimore is a run-first team and could be in for a long day against Kansas City.

3. Mecole Hardman comes alive in Week 2

Mecole Hardman has been hyped up on numerous occasions and tends to fall flat. He'll periodically have a monster game, but it's nearly impossible to guess when that will happen. There seems to be a disconnect between him and Mahomes, preventing Hardman from reaching his full potential. However, with the Ravens' secondary banged up, now may be the perfect time for Mecole Hardman to step up and be the WR2 the Chiefs need.

2. Clyde Edwards-Helaire gashes the Ravens for 120+ rushing yards and 1 touchdown

The Ravens struggled to bottle up Josh Jacobs in Week 1, so Clyde Edwards-Helaire has the potential to produce huge numbers in Week 2. With the passing game the ultimate threat, the Chiefs should be able to set up the run by spreading out the defense. Although Baltimore has a dangerous front seven, Edwards-Helaire should be able to find open running lanes and provide consistency on the ground for the Chiefs. This would be the best-case scenario, as it would relieve pressure off of Mahomes for once.

1. Travis Kelce erupts for 200+ yards receiving and 2 touchdowns

After watching Darren Waller eat up the Ravens' secondary, we can only imagine what Travis Kelce is going to do. Mahomes and Kelce have a unique chemistry, as they connect frequently. We should see another massive performance out of the Chiefs superstar tight end, as he'll look to take advantage of a hobbled Ravens secondary.
