The NBPA (NBA Players Association) held it's second annual Players Voice Awards on  Thursday.

The awards were voted on, and chosen by the players themselves, and was presented on social media in a list of categories.

One of the awards given out was about who the players felt is the best defender in the NBA.

This award was given to none other than San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, who ironically just won his second Defensive Player of the Year trophy.

Leonard is a relentless defender, never taking a night off, throwing the other team's best players out of their rhythm, disrupting passing lanes, blocking shots, and creating offense from defense.

There isn't much he can't do, and the players gave their confirmation and approval on it.

Leonard is skillful at frustrating opponents off the ball as well as on the ball.

He is also very much a staunch defender not only against role players, but star players as well, and gives headaches to players such as LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Durant.

The way he plays tough defense sometimes is unreal, which you could never tell by looking at his emotionless face.

Congratulations to Kawhi Leonard who has earned his peers' respect as manifested by his Best Defender award.
