Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Kemah Siverand was arrested for street racing in the early hours of Saturday morning, the Houston Police Department announced on Monday.

Siverand was charged with felony evading arrest after driving for another mile after being initially stopped by police officers. Two other accomplices were charged with racing on a highway.

According to Jonathan McCall of KRON 4 News, police noticed five cars racing on the highway, but were only able to catch up and arrest three perpetrators, including the Raiders CB.

Siverand is a native of Houston.

You may recall Siverand, who went undrafted out of Oklahoma State in 2020, from his short-lived yet notable stint with the Seattle Seahawks last summer. The then-rookie was cut from Seattle in training camp in August after breaking COVID-19 health and safety protocols by trying to sneak a poorly-disguised lady friend into his room at the team hotel.

The 24-year old was signed by the Raiders practice squad in October. The DB was among the Raiders' practice squad players to be signed to a reserve/future contract in January. It's unclear how this weekend's arrest will affect his employment status in Las Vegas.

Siverand played five years of Big 12 football before getting his chance(s) in the pros. He spent three seasons playing at Texas A&M, before transferring to Oklahoma State to play for Mike Gundy for two seasons.

After his sophomore season, Siverand switched from wide receiver to the secondary.

The Raiders finished 8-8 in 2020, in the franchise's inaugural season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
