Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets had themselves quite a night on Thursday. Walker paced the way for the Hornets to absolutely dismantle the Memphis Grizzlies 140-79. He finished the game with 46 points in only 26 minutes with 35 of those points coming in the first half.

Walker also made NBA history with his impressive outing. According to ESPN Stats and Info:

Kemba Walker is the 3rd player in NBA history to make at least 10 3-pointers and 10 free throws in a game. Joe Dumars did it in 1994 and Kyrie Irving did it in 2015.

The All-Star point guard also broke his own team record that he set on January 31st when he hit nine 3-pointers against the Atlanta Hawks.  On Thursday night against the Grizzlies, he went 10-of-14 from deep to break his old record by one long ball.

The struggling Grizzlies really had no chance in the game. They were down 37-14 at the end of the first period and the Hornets never gave them a chance to come back.

One of the most impressive things about the win is that they were without their starting center, Dwight Howard who was suspended one game for picking up his 16th technical of the season.

It was a team effort to make up his for his lost production with Frank Kaminsky leading the way putting up 14 points shooting 4-of-4 from deep.

This win is too little too late in terms of the team making the playoffs this year. The Hornets currently sit in the East's 10th spot — six games behind the Milwaukee Bucks who are in eighth.
