Looks like we have our first Twitter war of 2020. Former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates Kevin Durant and Kendrick Perkins figured in a savage back-and-forth on Twitter shortly after Russell Westbrook made his return to Oklahoma City.

The online feud began when Perkins — who has retired from the game and now works as an analyst for ESPN — revealed that he will go on detail why he believes Westbrook is the best ever player to don the Thunder jersey.

He then responded from a tweet by NBA reporter Marc D'Amico. Perkins reminded everyone that the Durant-led Thunder also got eliminated in the second round when Westbrook was out due to an ACL injury.

His slight did not sit well with Durant, who responded with his own savage clap back, pointing out Perkins' poor average in that series.

Perkins then went straight for the jugular with his savage response to Durant's call-out. The former center called KD's departure from OKC to the Golden State Warriors as “the weakest move in NBA history”.

Perk was talking about Durant's highly criticized free agency decision back in the summer of 2016. For those that don't remember, Durant signed with the Warriors that summer.

His decision did not sit well with OKC fans and pundits. Especially given the fact that the Thunder were coming of a disheartening loss to the Dubs in the Western Conference Finals. It was a series where they were up three games-to-one.

After winning two titles in Golden State, Durant has since moved on this season to the Brooklyn Nets.

The one-time league MVP is expected to sit out the rest of the year after suffering an Achilles tear in last season's Finals.
