Kevin Durant might be smelling the roses of being up 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals, but he's not forgetting about his opposition and the historic greatness he exemplifies.

Now a 10-year veteran of the league, Durant has seen first-hand just how dangerous the San Antonio Spurs are with a coaching genius at the helm, not taking any of these games for granted.

“They have one of the best coaches ever to coach in any sport,” Durant said of Popovich, per the Fast Break blog of the San Jose Mercury News.

It was this same Popovich-led team that pulled off a 39-point Game 6 rout of the Houston Rockets without two of his key players in Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard — getting his team to outscore its opposition in every quarter of the game.

The Spurs are certainly capable of turning the tables and it's wise of Durant to know so, taking proper caution and acknowledging one of the brightest minds in basketball.
