Already playing in his 10th season in the NBA this year, Golden State Warriors‘ forward Kevin Durant has seen a lot of tough shots made and understands how difficult it is to make a half-court shot under any situation.

During his team's home game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night, one fan was selected to try and heave a three-pointer from the the half-court line to win $5,000. The fan made it and got a huge applause from the crowd inside Oracle Arena, and even brought a huge smile to Steve Kerr.

However, during the post-game interview, Durant was surprised the fan, who was wearing his jersey when he took the shot, only received that amount when others in the past have won a car or at least $10,000. He acknowledged the difficulty of it and was happy that the fan made it.

Durant's reaction may serve as an eye-opener to the sponsors of these promotions to give more to fans who make half-court shots in the future. It's definitely not the easiest of baskets to make and something that doesn't happen on every game.
