The Golden State Warriors are riding high through the first two games of the NBA Finals after cruising past the Cleveland Cavaliers to hold a commanding lead in the series.

Following Game 2 on Sunday night, Draymond Green was asked about playing alongside both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant to which Green brought up a classic 52-point performance that Durant lit him up in just a few years ago. However, Durant didn't hesitate to correct his teammate about exactly how many points he dropped on Green's defense.

The night in question was on Jan. 17, 2014 where Durant scored 54 points on an efficient 19-of-28 shooting from the field along with 5-of-9 from beyond the arc helping the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Warriors. That total still stands as a career-best mark for Durant during his current NBA tenure.

The 28-year-old is the brightest star so far in this year's NBA Finals averaging 35.5 points 11.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists in the first two games putting him as the clear frontrunner to earn the NBA Finals MVP award if Golden State wins the title. He has scored more than 30 points in each game while hitting 56.3 percent of his shots from the field over that span.

What has been most impressive is the ease with how Durant is scoring that only makes it seem bleaker that the Cavaliers have a chance to get back into the series. The Warriors are coming off recording 132 points on 51.7 percent shooting from the field with 34 total assists.  They are a well-oiled offensive machine led by Durant that doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
