A year after he left the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durant saw a new star join his former team after they traded for the services of Paul George. That said, the 27-year-old Fresno State product couldn’t help but reach out to Durant and ask about his experience in the city and with the team.

While many think that Durant has bitter feelings towards the Thunder, he surprised George with his answers.

The Golden State Warriors forward had nothing but good words to say about the Thunder. He even specified to George, via Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated, that from their personnel, including chefs, to their facilities, it’s all world class.

“KD was like, ‘That place will blow you away,’ They can offer what other teams can’t in terms of the people and the preparation and the facility, down to the chefs and the meals.’ He was pretty high on them. He thought it was a first-class organization in every way.”

George’s trade to the Thunder came as a shock to many as the team wasn't reported to be in play in the days leading to the trade. As it turned out, he will spend the last year of his contract in Oklahoma City, and might turn out as a rental should he decide to play elsewhere next summer.

When Durant left the Thunder, their fans and the city’s residents were outraged as they felt betrayed by his decision to bring his talents to Oakland. However, as ironic as it could be, he may eventually be the key to making George re-sign with them after next season.
