Even when Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant is across the globe in India, he is somehow dragged into giving his take on Kyrie Irving‘s infamous trade request from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Last week sent shock waves across the NBA world as players and organizations were trying to get their head around why a star point guard would not want to remain on a team that has taken him to three straight NBA Finals appearances.

For Durant, he is not shy to admit his lack of interest in the situation as a whole, but sends his best wishes.

“I really don't care about the Kyrie Irving situation,” Durant told the NBA Academy India in Noida on Friday. “I just want guys in the league to be happy where they're playing and have some fun playing ball.”

At least Durant gave a nod to a players name who has inevitably been wrapped into this entire fiasco.

“So, wherever that is, for Kyrie, I hope he finds that,” continued Durant. “But LeBron James is a phenomenal player. I got a chance to play on his team in the Olympics in 2012, and learned a lot from him.”

For Durant, he understands how having millions of people continually bark about his career decisions can become jarring. All any NBA player would want in Irving's situation is peace for a clear mind to make the best decision for their future.
