Before San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard was deemed officially out for Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant was very confident that his wing opponent would suit up in the virtual do-or-die game for the Spurs.

The 2014 Most Valuable Player winner even went as far as saying the Warriors are preparing for Game 3 armed with the thinking that Leonard will play.

However, despite Leonard’s final status for the night already being announced, Durant still maintained his belief in the opposite scenario.

Clearly, Kevin Durant was not in for any surprises and it’s understandable for him to have that mentality.

But now that he’s 100 percent certain that there will be no Kawhi Leonard sighting on the floor tonight, Durant should be wary next of being caught in the proverbial trap game.
