Since Kevin Durant made the decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors last summer, his relationship with Russell Westbrook has been a topic on the forefront.

There was another wrinkle added to the situation with Paul George stating during a recent television interview with Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN that the two All-Stars are now in great standing with each other.

Via Adam Kemp of The Oklahoman:

“Whatever went between him and Russ that's their business,” he said. “It's not my point to want to know or want to figure out what happened. It's pointless. They are buddies, they are back good again. I'm here to build something different and something special.”

This is a huge step forward in their friendship that at different points during last season didn't seem like there was going to be much progress made until much further down the road. However, former Thunder big man Kendrick Perkins did provide a major update near the tail end of the season that the two are talking again.

It's not far-fetched to think that they have patched things up even further since then. They have accomplished that without any attention from the media, which is likely the route they preferred to take with the situation.

There is no telling if things can be like they once were between them, but the fact that they have made significant progress in that area is huge for them to rebuild their strong bond off the court.
