Riding high on an 11-game win streak, the Golden State Warriors have plenty of momentum heading into the postseason. And now according to ESPN's Marc Stein, they will also be getting All-Star Kevin Durant back right before the end of the regular season.

According to Stein, the Warriors are “targeting” Saturday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans for Durant to make his return:

Durant suffered a Grade 2 sprain of his knee in Golden State's loss to the Washington Wizards on Feb. 28 and has since missed 17 games. The Warriors have gone 13-4 without Durant as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been sensational as of late. But the Warriors are obviously a much stronger team with Durant in the mix, so his return will be a welcome addition for Golden State. And if Durant does actually play against the Pelicans, he will be inserted back into the starting lineup right away.

From SF Gate's Connor Letourneau:

“We haven’t really talked about it as a staff yet in terms of how we’ll play him,” head coach Steve Kerr said before Sunday evening’s game against the Wizards. “I can tell you, I’m going to start him when he comes back. … I feel confident in our guys just mixing and matching, and feeling confident in what we’re doing.”

“I’m not too worried about incorporating him, because he’s been with us all season,” Kerr said of Durant. “He fit right in, right from the beginning. Whenever he gets back, we’ll plug him right in there and watch his minutes. That’s the main thing. Just watching him physically, I’m not worried about incorporating him into all of our schemes and that stuff.”

If Durant plays against the Pelicans, that will give him three games to quickly get into a rhythm before the playoffs start on April 15. A short amount of time but it will likely be key to Durant playing at high level for the Warriors in the postseason.
