In the offseason, it has become a normalcy to see NBA players spend some of their time participating in pickup basketball games.

This was the case for Indiana Pacers big man Kevin Seraphin, who recently threw down a vicious dunk during a pickup game at Venice Beach in California.

Seraphin clearly overmatched the opponents he took the court against by utilizing his size, standing at 6-foot-10, and speed to get to the rim with ease to throw down a strong one-handed dunk. It made him look a force to reckon with against his competition.

Moments like this give a true sense of how monstrous and talented players in the NBA are in comparison to an average person. In these instances, their unique abilities are only extenuated to an even greater extent to demonstrate how difficult it is to play the sport professionally.

In seven years in the NBA, Seraphin has played for the Pacers, Washington Wizards and New York Knicks where he holds career averages of 5.9 points,3.5 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks in 15.4 minutes per game. He spent last season in Indiana where he averaged 4.7 points on 55.1 percent shooting from the field with 2.9 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per contest in 49 games played with three starts.
