De’Aaron Fox isn’t done doing his part for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The Sacramento Kings rookie point guard is already organizing a charity basketball game along with teammate and fellow Houston native Justin Jackson to raise funds for the relief effort.

And as Sean Cunningham reported on Twitter, Fox took money out of his own pocket and donated it to the Rice University Men’s Basketball flood relief fund.

Fox's donation joins the likes of Dikembe Mutombo and James Harden among the NBA personalities who have given generous sums for the relief effort in Houston.

While $25,000 doesn’t sound like much from an NBA player, it’s certainly a significant amount coming from a 19-year-old rookie who has yet to receive the bulk of the $4.6 million he’s due to earn this year.

De'Aaron Fox’s engagement and dedication toward helping out his hometown despite only being a teenager is encouraging. Hopefully, his efforts inspire others within the NBA community to do their part in helping the city of Houston rise up from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
