It's no secret that the Sacramento Kings have long been looking for a point guard that can provide them with steady playmaking skills and who can be part of their long-term plans. After a failed experiment with Rajon Rondo last year and playing this season with a fairly inexperienced duo of Ty Lawson and Darren Collison, they may have just finally found the answer to their need.

Reports have emerged that the team is a legitimate contender to land the services of coveted Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic. It also strengthens their case to sign him as he apparently has a strong connection with his countryman and Kings general manager Vlade Divac.

The 30-year-old has an expiring contract with CSKA Moscow and will be able to sign with an NBA team should he finally decide to bring his talents to the country. He is a highly decorated player who was named MVP of the Euroleague in 2010 and is widely regarded as the best player currently not playing in the NBA.

Although there will be other teams expected to go after his services, he made it clear that he will only play with a team which can give him a lot of playing time, and also has a chance of winning. With the Kings continuing to miss out on the playoffs, it might take more than Divac's presence to lure him to their fold.
