Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic is just a rookie in the NBA, but he is a household name over in Europe, just like Miami Heat point man Goran Dragic who once was the Euroleague MVP and has been one of the better players to come from overseas.

The two faced off head to head on Wednesday night when the Heat made the trip to Sacramento to take on the Kings.

It took an extra session for the game to be decided and Bogdanovic and the Kings got the last laugh, winning 123-119. After the game, he talked about how much he respected Dragic, and how he could learn a lot from the Slovenian. Eurohoops.net caught up with him after the game:

“Ι respect him a lot. Hell of a player. He just knows how to play. He gets wherever he wants easily. It’s so fun to watch him and to play against him. I have to take something from him. “Steal” some moves. His footwork in the paint. I’m taller. He’s faster. But I can use it for sure.”

Dragic has proven that he has some really nice moves inside that can make him a mismatch in the post when he is playing against other guards.

Although he is still a rookie, Bogdanovic has shown some flashes of what he can do in this league. So far, he is averaging 11.8 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 45.2 percent from the field, and 39.4 percent from deep.

He has already shown some of what he can do, but if he can get in the gym with Dragic and learn more tricks, he could be one of the pieces that the Kings can build around for years.
