Sacramento Kings sharpshooter Buddy Hield converted his 800th career three-pointer in their win against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.

With that, Hield became the fastest player to get to 800 career three-pointers, per Jason Jones of The Athletic. The 27-year old took 296 career games to make 800 triples, which breaks Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry's previous mark of 305 games.

Beating the greatest shooter ever in one of the all-time three-pointers categories has to mean something, right?

Hield finished the game with 31 points and went 9-of-10 from long range. He also added six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. The Kings had 19 three-pointers in total on Saturday, which marks the second straight game they have hit that mark.

Kings head coach recently made the move to bring Hield off the bench eight games ago. While it seemed like a demotion at first, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard has actually benefited from coming off the pine. Hield has been on fire since then, averaging 23.1 points on 52.8 shooting from the field and 51.8 percent from three, while making 5.5 triples a night.

Sacramento is slowly building momentum towards a late push for the playoffs. They have won three in a row and six of their last eight contests, which also includes wins over the Miami Heat and the L.A. Clippers.

However, they are still currently at 12th place in the Western Conference standings and are five games behind the 8th seeded Memphis Grizzlies.

In theory, there's still a lot of basketball left. But every game from this point on matters for these Kings.
