Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield had a hard time containing his emotions following the team's double-overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night.

Hield hinted at an absence of chemistry and a host of issues in the locker room during his postgame interview.

“It seems like we’re all over the place, the coaches and everybody – trust issues going on, I guess guys stop believing in players,” Hield said. “It is what it is, man. They have who they have playing out there and I just have to be supportive.”

However, Hield apologized to his teammates and coaches before practice on Friday, and he said that head coach Luke Walton has been supportive in the wake of his recent frustrations (via Jason Jones of The Athletic):

“Luke’s been in this position,” Hield said. “He understands me, he understands my frustration. He just told me next time, be mature and keep things in house because you don’t want to get misunderstandings … so I’ve got to watch what I say.”

The Kings fell to 12-20 after losing their sixth straight contest against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night, and Hield has really struggled over the course of the last two weeks.

Despite scoring 23 points on Saturday, Hield has been woefully inefficient on the whole. The former Oklahoma star is averaging just 13.2 points on less than 30 percent shooting from the field since the start of the Kings' losing streak, according to NBA.com.

The Kings need Hield — their top scoring threat — to get it going in a hurry if they hope to climb back into the playoff race in the Western Conference.
