Fresh off signing a five-year, $163 million maximum rookie scale contract extension with the Sacramento Kings, De'Aaron Fox is turning heads left and right at training camp, per teammate Nemanja Bjelica.

During his media session with Kings reporters on Wednesday, Bjelica said Fox is looking like a bona fide All-Star, via Matt George of 1140KHTK.

De'Aaron Fox is undoubtedly one of the best young point guards in the NBA. After getting financial stability, the youngster is now determined to lead the Kings to the playoffs for the first time since 2006.

In 51 games last season, Fox averaged 21.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest while shooting 48.0 percent from the field, 29.2 percent from beyond the arc and 70.5 percent from the free-throw line. The 22-year-old is one of the fastest players in the NBA, so guys like Nemanja Bjelica better be in shape so he can keep up with Fox.

The Kings have the longest playoff drought in the NBA. It's not going to be easy for the team to make the postseason in 2020-21 since the Western Conference is so tough from top to bottom and Bogdan Bogdanovic left Sacramento in restricted free agency for the Atlanta Hawks.

Besides signing Fox to his monster extension this offseason, the other major move the Kings made was signing veteran big man Hassan Whiteside in free agency. The franchise also drafted Tyrese Haliburton in the 2020 draft.

While we could see Fox making the All-Star team this season, odds are the Kings won't reach the playoffs.
