Sacramento Kings rookie De’Aaron Fox walked a fine line between blasphemous and just being an opinionated young man in an interview with Seerat Sohi of Rolling Stone, as the point guard put on blast one of California’s own, the In-N-Out Burger restaurant chain.

Along the conversation, Sohi asked Fox about his favorite place to have brunch in Sacramento and Fox replied by saying that he found out In-N-Out wasn’t as good as what people around have told him.

“All I gotta say, you can tell everybody that lives in the state of California this: In-N-Out is not good.”

Asked to elaborate more, Fox doubled down and declared the In-N-Out’s burgers as “overrated”.

“Their burgers are overrated. They're OK.”

Fox didn’t stop there. He twisted the knife he stabbed In-N-Out fans with by saying he prefers its competitors.

“Honestly, for me, I don't count Chick-fil-A, because it's way too good to be considered fast food. So I'm gonna say Wendy's. Fat Burger in L.A. is better than In-N-Out.”

Whether you’re Team In-N-Out or Team Fox on this issue, we got to give Fox a high five for being his audacity of telling what many other people wouldn’t dare whisper.

At the end of the day, Fox is a professional basketball player tasked to help the Kings turn things around and not be an authority when it comes to burgers. This beef should fade away soon.
