LaVar Ball has almost single-handedly made his family a household name in America. That’s in large part due to Ball’s shameless display of bravado that the media find so irresistible.

Ball, however, isn’t the only reason for his family’s fame. His son, Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo, has been grabbing headlines ever since he was a highly-touted high school player. LaVar’s two other sons in LaMelo and LiAngelo have also reached some level of fame, albeit in differing manners — LaMelo for also being an elite high school prospect and LiAngelo for nearly getting locked up abroad.

All three of LaVar's sons have become celebrities of varying extents, but for Sacramento Kings rookie guard De’Aaron Fox, LaMelo is so famous today that he was able to have a signature shoe of his own via his family’s Big Baller Brand.

Speaking to Nick DePaula of ESPN, Fox acknowledged the brothers’ fame as to why Lonzo and LaMelo, in particular, are able to ditch Nike and Adidas.

“It is different,” Fox said. “His brother [LaMelo] is the most famous high school player ever.”

De'Aaron Fox may be too young to remember that when LeBron James was a high school phenom, the current Cleveland Cavaliers forward was all the media could talk about. James, however, didn’t have the benefit of social media then and his family didn't have an apparel brand of their own.

Can LaMelo Ball convert his fame to on-court success just like James in the pros? We’ll find out in the future.
