Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox is not letting the latest accusations against him and his family go unnoticed.

Apparently, according to Twitter users, Fox's dad sent out a tweet (which has since been deleted) disagreeing with the team's selection of Davion Mitchell in the 2021 NBA Draft.

The said tweet didn't sit well with some fans and critics, as people started theorizing that Fox's camp may have also played a role in the Kings' decision to pass up on Luka Doncic in the 2018 NBA Draft. One even argued that Fox and his family wouldn't allow Luka to be the face of the franchise.

Of course since it has been the talk all over the Kings' fan base, the 23-year-old speedy guard noticed the conversation surrounding the issue and responded to deny the claims. According to him, his dad is not part of his team and so is not involved in any of his decision making.

Luka Doncic was the third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and the Kings really had a chance to snag him since they had the No. 2 pick. However, since they already have a point guard in De'Aaron Fox whom they consider as the future face of the franchise, the team decided to get a big man instead in Marvin Bagley III.

The Atlanta Hawks went on to pick Doncic at No. 3 and trade him to the Dallas Mavericks for Trae Young and a couple of picks. As we all know now, Doncic has established himself as the best player in the class with already two All-Star appearances.

Nevertheless, it is great to see Fox stand up and speak out about the issue instead of letting his father do all the talking.

Moreover, while it would have been interesting for Kings fans to see Doncic play alongside Fox, it is worth noting that Bagley is yet to have a fully healthy season and it's still too early to give up on him.
