Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox has fired back at Knicks fans, defending himself after apparently mocking the team's unfavorable draft lottery result.

The Knicks landed the eighth pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. While it's a decent placing, analysts and fans have been wishing to get either the first overall pick or somewhere in the top three. Basketball die-hards and analysts trolled the Knicks. Fox joined in the fun but was met by harsh criticisms from New York fans.

Fox cleared the air up, noting that the Kings' guard wasn't making fun of the Knicks. However, he noticed that everything was already out of his control.

So instead of merely defending himself, Fox decided to fight back, with the Kings out of the bubble and fully in their offseason. Several fans told him to come to the Knicks, to which Fox replied savagely.

He again apologized but then attached a highlight clip of one of a Kings game against New York.

To be fair with Knicks fans, the organization is in dire need of a facelift, alongside the Kings. They've been wanting to see the team become relevant again and not the laughing stock of the entire league.

Besides, the Knicks have always been in rumors involving a bunch of big-name free agents, more than the Kings have. Perhaps the most recent one was when Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were rumored to be looking at the Knicks for their next destination. Fans expected James Dolan's team to end up with the first pick in the lottery. They dreamed of a star trio of Zion Williamson, Durant, and Irving. But as things panned out, Irving and Durant did move to New York — but to Brooklyn with the Nets.
