Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox intends to compete in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge during the All-Star weekend, according to a report by Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox plans to participate in the Skills Challenge during All-Star Weekend in Charlotte, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

He will be joining Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum as one of the confirmed participants in the event.

Fox, 21, is considered to be one of the fastest guards in the league. The three-year veteran is having a career year with the Kings this season, averaging 17.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.

Fox has been able to stand his ground against some of the best guards in the league like Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving, and Russell Westbrook. And while the Kings aren't in the Western Conference playoff race, they have put the league on notice.

The Skills Challenge will be a perfect opportunity for Fox to show his talents to everyone. His head-to-head match-up with fellow sophomore Tatum is something to look forward to.

So far, no other participants have been confirmed. It was reported that Lonzo Ball, Fox's college rival, was also given an invite, but he suffered an injury and is unlikely to return until after the All-Star break.

Fox, together with teammates Bogdan Bogdanovic and Buddy Hield will also be participating in the rising stars challenge.

The Kings' young core will be seeing a lot of action during the All-Star festivities, a recognition that's well-deserved by each and every one of them.
