After missing two out of the last three games during the 2017-18 NBA season, De'Aaron Fox will miss additional time as he deals with a quad bruise.

According to Sacramento Kings, an MRI revealed Fox has a partial tear of the right quad muscle and will the next two weeks before being re-evaluated:

Originally the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Fox is averaging 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 25.1 minutes through 29 appearances. As the injury will unfortunately keep Fox from developing on the court, George Hill and Frank Mason III are expected to take up most of the minutes for head coach Dave Joerger.

For the Kings, they are in a unique situation with an 11-20 record through 31 games. While the thought process was Sacramento would embrace a full rebuilding process, they signed three veterans in Hill, Zach Randolph, and Vince Carter — two of them who are playing at least 26 minutes per game.
