The Sacramento Kings are once again trending towards the bottom of the Western Conference. However, De'Aaron Fox has been on an absolute tear and is gaining respect from around the league.

In fact, Fox said he's noticing how teams are changing their game plans against him as he continues to make improvements.

“I mean, a lot of times now, I’m probably drawing another defender or, you know, seeing that guys will now load up my side of the floor when I have the ball. I definitely think that teams are respecting the offensive game a little bit more. I think that helps me bring my facilitating game up. I know at all times I have three guys’ attention on me. And I'm able to get somebody on my team an open shot,” the Kings star said, according to Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated.

De'Aaron Fox, a former Kentucky Wildcat, is having a fantastic year and is starting to live up to the hype that surrounded him when the Kings drafted him fifth overall in 2017. He's averaging a career-high 22.8 points per game and is just doing a much better job initiating the offense.

The Kings are 12-16 and are trying to fight their way into the playoff picture in the Western Conference. The addition of Tyrese Haliburton has also helped open up Fox's game, as the rookie from Iowa State, is terrific with the ball. The backcourt duo of Haliburton and Fox is going to be difficult for teams to gameplan against in the next few years.

Fox is just 23 years old until December and will only get better from here on out as he continues to get more comfortable in Luke Walton's offense. Fox signed a five-year extension in the offseason worth $163 million to remain in Sacramento for years to come.
