On Thursday, Blake Griffin settled a child support case in which he now has to pay upwards of $3 million per year. In other words, Griffin must pay more in child support than some NBA players make in a year.

Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox jumped on Twitter to point out that Griffin's ex, Brynn Cameron, is making more than he does after taxes. Ouch.

Exactly how much money the child support bill comes out to after taxes is unknown, but it's safe to say that it's a nice chunk of change.

Fox may be making less than this amount after taxes, but he won't be for very long. While the 20-year-old had an up and down first season with the Kings, his talent level and potential remain sky high.

The Kentucky product averaged 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game last season. He definitely needs to improve on his outside shooting, though, as he only shot 30.7 percent from deep during his rookie campaign.

Fox will make about $5.5 million next season, and this number will increase over the next two seasons as long as the Kings pick up the team options on Fox for 2019 and 2020. The youngster will become eligible for an extension after the 2019-20 season.

Fox has the potential to grow into an exceptional point guard in Sacramento. Subsequently, the potential to add to his bank account is there as well. He may not be making as much as Blake Griffin is doling out in child support, but he'll be well above that number soon enough.
