Sacramento Kings interim head coach Alvin Gentry didn't hold back his thoughts after the team got obliterated by the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.

The Kings were actually competitive in the first half, keeping the game close and staying ahead at 50-49 after 24 minutes of play. However, they seemed to give up in the third quarter and it went downhill for them from there on.

In the end, the Grizzlies handed the Kings a 127-102 beating to the disappointment of Gentry. In his postgame presser, the 67-year-old tactician–who took over the team after Luke Walton was dismissed earlier in the season–criticized the team and shared how unacceptable it is to lose the way they did Sunday in their own turf.

“This is the most disappointed I've been in my 34 years in the NBA. I can honestly say that,” Gentry said, per James Ham of The Kings Beat.

Alvin Gentry highlighted how the team didn't play hard and compete at all despite getting off to a solid start. The Grizzlies outscored the Kings 40-27 in the third quarter and 38-25 in the fourth, with Desmond Bane and Ja Morant getting everything they want offensively.

Tyrese Haliburton led the way for Sacramento with 18 points, while De'Aaron Fox struggled mightily as he finished with 12 points in 30 minutes of play.

The Kings dropped to 13-21 on the season, having now lost three straight games. And with how things are trending, Sacramento appears to be headed to another playoffs-less campaign–something they haven't reach in 15 years.
