Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox suffered a left ankle sprain in practice on Wednesday.

He will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days.

The “bubble” games are set to start on July 30. Sacramento will take on the San Antonio Spurs, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans (twice), Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers in the eight seeding games.

Hopefully, Fox is able to play in the seeding games. Otherwise, the Kings' low playoff odds will drop even further.

To make the postseason for the first time since 2006, Sacramento has to play very well in the seeding games and hope the Memphis Grizzlies, Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, Spurs and Phoenix Suns don't succeed. As it stands, the Grizzlies are in the 8th spot in the West, while Fox and Co. are in 11th place.

Before the season was suspended in March, Fox was averaging 20.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.8 assists for the Kings. The lefty was also shooting 47.5 percent from the field, 30.7 percent from beyond the arc and 70.3 percent from the free-throw line.

De'Aaron Fox has career averages of 15.9 points, 3.5 boards and 6.1 assists. The Kings drafted him with the fifth overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Kentucky. Fox will likely sign a rich rookie-scale extension this offseason with Sacramento.
